Work Completed
- Continued road grading during the dry weather.
- Cut back brush and trees around the building where limbs were overhanging.
- Cleared drainage at the culvert outlet on Sheldon Hill Road to address a homeowner’s basement water issue.
- Installed electrical service at the Town Hall and Town Garage in coordination with Southworth and Green Mountain Power (GMP).
- Applied hay and seed in town areas disturbed by digging; completed some ditching on Sheldon Hill Road.
- Worked at the dump: crushed refrigerators and chipped brush.
Equipment & Administrative Notes
- Grader tire returned from Pete’s Tire after repair of a large puncture.
- United advised that fuel in the oil may be coming from an injection pump seal.
- Renewed FCC license with ProCom.
Plan for the Next Two Weeks
- Move the excavator to Melis Road and begin tree work on the upper section.
- After tree removal, replace culverts with 24-inch culverts and build wider shoulders.
- Continue road grading and begin topping roads with 1-inch material where stone was placed this winter.
- Start roadside mowing and issue sand bids.
- Replace the cutting edge on the grader.
